技術原理:三氧化二鋁(Al₂O₃)是什麼? Technical Principle: What is Aluminum Oxide (Al₂O₃)?

AlOx(Aluminum Oxide,三氧化二鋁,化學式 Al₂O₃)是一種無機陶瓷材料,廣泛應用於精密陶瓷、半導體與薄膜阻隔技術。與金屬鋁(Metallic Aluminium)不同,Al₂O₃ 不具導電性,也不會觸發金屬探測器——這是其在食品包裝領域最關鍵的特性。 AlOx (Aluminum Oxide, Al₂O₃) is an inorganic ceramic material widely used in precision ceramics, semiconductors, and thin-film barrier technology. Unlike metallic aluminium, Al₂O₃ is non-conductive and does not trigger metal detectors — its most critical advantage for food packaging applications.

立揚 AlOx 阻隔膜採用電子束蒸發(E-Beam Evaporation)工藝,在真空腔體(壓力 10⁻⁴ – 10⁻⁵ mbar)中以高能電子束轟擊 Al₂O₃ 靶材,使其氣化並沉積於 PET 基材表面,形成均勻的陶瓷薄膜。整個鍍膜層厚度僅 20–50 nm(奈米),重量幾乎不增加,卻能提供接近金屬鋁箔的氣體與水蒸氣阻隔性能。 Lihyang AlOx barrier film uses electron-beam evaporation (E-Beam) PVD technology. In a vacuum chamber (10⁻⁴ – 10⁻⁵ mbar), a high-energy electron beam bombards the Al₂O₃ target material, vaporizing it onto the PET base film to form a uniform ceramic layer. The coating is only 20–50 nm thick — negligible weight addition — yet provides gas and water vapour barrier performance approaching metallic aluminium foil.

為什麼 AlOx 能阻隔氣體?Why Does AlOx Block Gas?

AlOx 薄膜的阻隔機制來自陶瓷層的緻密無孔結構。氧氣(O₂)和水蒸氣(H₂O)分子無法穿透緊密排列的 Al₂O₃ 晶格,必須繞過塗層中的極少量缺陷(Pinhole),大幅延長了氣體擴散路徑。相比之下,未塗佈的 PET 薄膜透氧率約 100–150 cc/m²/day,塗佈後可降至 ≤1.0,阻隔提升超過 100 倍。 The barrier mechanism of AlOx film derives from the dense, pinhole-minimized structure of the ceramic layer. O₂ and H₂O molecules cannot penetrate the tightly packed Al₂O₃ lattice and must circumnavigate the rare defects (pinholes), dramatically extending the gas diffusion path. By comparison, uncoated PET has an OTR of ~100–150 cc/m²/day; after AlOx coating this drops to ≤1.0 — a barrier improvement exceeding 100×.

  • 表面保護:Surface protection: AlOx 塗層極薄(20–50 nm),收放捲時需確保膠輥清潔,避免刮傷導致阻隔性下降 AlOx coating is extremely thin (20–50 nm); keep rollers clean during winding to avoid scratches that degrade barrier
  • 膠水選擇:Adhesive selection: 建議搭配專用雙組份聚氨酯(PU)黏著劑,避免膠水成分與氧化鋁層反應導致分層 Use dedicated two-component polyurethane (PU) adhesive; avoid adhesives that may react with the oxide layer causing delamination
  • 貯存條件:Storage conditions: 建議在溫度 10–30°C、濕度 30–70% RH 的環境貯存,避免直射陽光 Store at 10–30°C, 30–70% RH, away from direct sunlight
