上膠量應根據不同基材調整。一般而言銀色冷燙箔膠水量約0.3-0.35的光密度；至於金色冷燙箔膠水，合適的光密度值應是0.55-0.65。
調整印刷接觸壓力以達到良好的飽滿度、光澤度和清晰度，一般來說壓力須比印刷座還大。
